Grace is about a week away from being 6 months old. You can really start to see her personality, and her temper. She is cutting her 2 bottom teeth. I know doctors say they don't run a fever or get sick during this time, but I think when she was cutting her first one she did. She was on medicine at the time so maybe that had something to do with it. I wanted to know how many teeth can I expect her to cut close together. She's not drooling a whole lot - she just wants everything in her mouth.

my baby, who is the same age as Grace, just got 2 bottom teeth in at the same time! his doctor said to give him baby tylenol for his pain & alot of people told me to rub some pure vanilla extract on his gums if i didn't feel comfortable giving him tylenol all the time. it sounds crazy, but it does work! i don't know why, but it does!

Mommies should always try the vanilla themselves, to experience what the child is "about" to experience. Numbness usually occurs--naturally,the scent is wonderful for the child to calm.
I love, the baby Doc's, mine was wonderful we need them, but until they move in with a new mom/dad and are their 24/7...I'll rely on other Mommies advice. :)

Both of my babies cut two teeth together during the first go 'round. Both of them ran a mild temp and some fussiness, but it was over quickly.

Our favorite thing to do was to wet a baby washcloth (they're thin and work better than full sized ones), twist it up and freeze it. She'll love chewing on it to ease the discomfort!

Remember, every baby cuts teeth differently, no matter what the docs say. My first child had 2 teeth at his first bday. My second child is almost 8 months and has no teeth yet. Drools, chews, BITES hard on everything, but no teeth yet. As far as your question of how many will be cut together, it varies from child to child.

Teething is hard that is for sure, instead of giving her Tylenol, take a q-tip and dip it in the tylenol and rub baby's gums with it. It does help. And baby food is definitely yukky no matter what, but your baby should be old enough for 2nd foods, introduce new foods a little at a time. My granddaughter just turned 7 months old has two bottom teeth and tries to chew, I've got her on the 3rd foods as she quit eating the 1st and 2nd foods.

My baby is 8 months and yes, he too is on 2nd and 3rd foods. Some of the 3rd foods are still a bit too chunky, but he is gradually getting used to them. He is eating the little puffs made by Gerber as well as cheerios. Loves table food such as mashed potatoes, mac/cheese, etc. NO TEETH but he can gum stuff pretty well.

I have a 16 month old brother now and I dont know whether you would say he was lucky or not but he cut four teeth together his first time and now he is cutting three teeth. So personally I think it can vary among the child..
